Jon Bon Jovi - Non-Stop Songwriter Jon Bon Jovi

Richie Sambora believes bandmate Jon Bon Jovi is so talented he can make music out of anything.
Jon Bon Jovi can pull songs "out of his butt".
Bon Jovi's frontman - who was inducted into the Songwriters' Hall of Fame in 2009 - can produce hit tracks from seemingly nowhere, according to his bandmate Richie Sambora.
The guitarist told BANG Showbiz: "Jon's like the quarter-back and he'll be pulling songs out of his butt!"
Despite having such a huge back catalogue, Bon Jovi have not stopped writing new material.
Richie explained: "About three weeks ago Jon calls me up and says, `Let's write a couple more songs'. So we wrote a couple more songs and they turned out really good. We called the band and got them back in the studio and now we're cutting them."
The group are currently mid-way through a 12-night residency at London's O2 Arena - which kicked off last Monday (07.06.10) - and have promised fans can expect something different every night.
Richie said: "In this place you're going to see a change every night because there's repeat clientele and it makes it different for us.
"Sometimes we'll just pick an obscure song we haven't done in 25 years. We've got 12 studio albums and a box set of like 50 songs that were previously unreleased.
"I think our master set list is somewhere around 90 songs."

BON JOVI PLAY ON O2 ARENA ROOF

We have all heard, read or seen some of the outrageous stunts that rock bands pull-off during their shows, only a few weeks ago I saw KISS frontman Paul Stanley fly across Birmingham’s NEC Arena for a rendition of ‘I Was Made For Lovin’ You’. However, putting the zip-lines and pyrotechnics to shame, Bon Jovi went a step further this week by playing ON TOP of London’s O2 Arena!

Last Monday (7h June) performing their opening gig of a 12-night residency at the prestigious venue, Bon Jovi pulled out all the stops on thrilling the crowds when the band performed on top of the dome while being beamed to the video screens flanking the stage inside. Unbelievable as it may seem but The Telegraph reports that Screen were placed in the venue’s outside area, Peninsula Square, which has been used to host free gigs and video displays in the past. Standing at over 50 metres high, mountaineers were drafted in to help the band ascend the former Millennium Dome, with its protruding steel masts slating out of the roof at 100 metres high.

Bon Jovi will be familiar with the venue having opened the arena on June 24th 2007. The band’s support at the show included One Republic and Kid Rock with unsigned band The Side warming up the crowds having won a support slot through a national online competition.

Share A Stage With Bon Jovi

YOU usually have to be a platinum-selling artist to fill the stage at London's O2 arena.
But Bon Jovi are calling on fans to help them out with a once in a lifetime support slot.
If you think you've got what it takes and can picture yourself sharing a pint with the boys in the dressing room, then enter now.

All you have to do is submit a video of your band playing live to Bon Jovi.
Guitarist RICHIE SAMBORA said: "If you want to open one of our O2 shows and think you've got the chops to win - upload a track and we'll see you on tour!"

The five bands who are crowned winners will go on to triumph with an opening slot at one of the June gigs.

Bon Jovi looking for opening act in Winnipeg

WINNIPEG — Local musicians who have always dreamed of playing a stadium show can make that fantasy a reality this summer.

Bon Jovi is looking for opening acts in eight cities on its forthcoming The Circle Tour, including its Winnipeg concert at Canad Inns Stadium on July 17.

One local unsigned rock, pop or country act from each city will be selected to open for the New Jersey group as part of the Wanted: A SuperBand Tonight contest.

Bands can enter by uploading tracks to bonjovi.com, ourstage.com and Bon Jovi’s Facebook site by April 21.

Fans will then vote for their favourite acts and help whittle the contestants down to 20 by April 24.

Elimination rounds will take place until May 6 when the ultimate winners in each city will be selected by a jury made up of Bon Jovi’s management, promoter AEG and music talent website OurStage.

Fans that aren’t in bands but want to get in on the action can upload a video of themselves lip-synching or singing Bon Jovi’s Livin’ on a Prayer to the group’s website for a chance to win tickets to the concert and have their clip played on video screens at the show.

Giving love a bad name: Bon Jovi fan fined for blasting out band's tracks 'to help cope with divorce'

A heartbroken householder made her neighbours' lives a misery by constantly blasting out Bon Jovi songs during her divorce.

Amanda Durkin, 35, claimed playing tracks including Livin' On A Prayer and Bad Medicine helped her cope with the break-up of her marriage.

Ms Durkin played the tracks from 11pm until the early hours of the morning for six months.

Her stressed-out neighbours eventually installed recording equipment to monitor the noise levels.

Hull Magistrates' Court heard that complaints first began last year on April 14th after Ms Durkin's husband left her.

Council chiefs tried to tackle the noise nuisance by seizing her stereo system twice, issuing fines and eventually re-homing Ms Durkin.

Prosecutor Vincent Blake Barnard said: 'This is a noise nuisance issue over quite a period of time.

'Recordings were obtained and confirmed there was a nuisance by music being played in the early hours.

'We seized equipment from the premises and it was thought that would resolve the problem, but shortly after that there were further complaints.

'She was interviewed under caution and confirmed that she had received all of the warnings, but, due to personal problems in her life, chose to ignore them.

'The council attempted to resolve it, but to no avail and it has been brought to court.'

One neighbour, who asked not to be named, said: 'It got worse when her partner left her, and became intolerable. We complained because the noise was making our lives a misery.

'The booming music made it impossible to sleep. We were getting to our wit's end with the noise.'

Speaking at her new address,Ms Durkin said she was 'going through a divorce', adding: 'I didn't know what I was doing.'

Despite a summons being issued, she failed to attend the hearing.

Kenneth Richardson, chair of the magistrates bench, ordered that all her stereo equipment should be confiscated.
